DOCTOR HANDSOME (Davisson-J 2013)

Tetraploid. This handsome 8" upward facing crispate bloom is an ususual shade of "bittersweet" orange with a vivid yellow diamond dusted watermark that is "heart" shaped and feathered. Gentle ruffling on the petal tips add backside interest (see scape photo). Scapes are 43" with ideal 4 and 5 way branching, 27 buds which start blooming early midseason and continues thru late season. Hardy, dormant plant habit with flawless, dark green arching foliage. A clean color like no other...very distinctive and hard to describe...with subtle coral tones and a pink blush in the watermark on cool days. Who says you shouldn't cross orange with pink!!
